WYP #93

WYP is an online and interactive game for those wishing to showcase and develop their post processing skills. Laura, of the wonderful dolcepics.com, post a weekly photo for folks to edit and share. This game is somewhat deceivingly addictive. when I visited her site this week I saw a photo and automatically took it as the WYP for the week...well I was wrong! Haha so here is this week's actual WYP submission.
Here's Laura's original....

And here's my rendition.... I dreamt of the 2nd Underworld movie last night, particularly the scenes with all the ice and snow. Quite similiar to the cold and wet weather we're experiencing here... So that's the feel I went for with this one!

I tweaked the exposure, brightness and clarity. I played with the saturation levels, obviously upping the blues... Oh and vignetting. Love vignetting.

Post Earth Day

This picture was actually intended for an Earth Day post, but it didn't make it in time. Don't forget everyone, taking care of our environment should be something we're aware of 24/7, not just one day out of the year. :D

WYP

I found an old drive with some old photos that I'm going to upload to post, but in the mean time here's a little playtime!

WYP is an online participation game to help develop and showcase different artists' post processing skills. It's put on by Laura at dolcepics.com. She posts a picture for others to edit however others wish.
Here's Laura's original...

And here's my two takes on the picture!

Sun Kissed Hartigan

I couldn't resist taking Hartigan out for a short jaunt today. All day I was taking "mental pictures" and thinking to myself how the beautiful 22 degree weather would make for some great shots. When I looked out my window this evening and saw this lighting I knew we had to get out and take a few shots.

Boredom

Just a quick snapshot of "Taz," a very loving husky/german shepard cross. Normally he's a fairly protective beast, in fact I've never seen him this relaxed and well... just plain bored.

Gerbera Pink

What's better than random daisies? Random daisies and my tripod at 10 o'clock at night, that's what!

Sandy Beach Pedestrian Bridge

Sandy beach has so many wonderful places to take pictures. And the best part is that it's a dog park! My current infatuation with the park aside, this bridge is amazing. A little shake and slightly sketchy, but amazing.

Caroline

Sometimes a photographer lucks out and comes across a client whose just meant to have their picture taken. Caroline's beauty is undescribable...good thing I have pictures! :) Haha here are a few of my favourite shots from her shoot this afternoon. Yes, I had lots of favourites.

Mountain Goat

Snapshot from our trip back through the rockies that I had forgotten about.

BC trip

Although my shoot for the weekend was cancelled due to bad weather and a very sick little boy, like any photographer I couldn't resist snapping off a few pictures.
From the bunny... with love.

Blooming outside...

Blooming inside... The christmas cactus blooms in the spring... even if the weather doesn't know it's spring.

You guessed it... Alberta

Spoils of easter

Happy Easter

Hope the fat bunny visits you all ......

Peek a boo

While I was shooting a few impromptu easter shots in my mom's yard in BC the dogs were hanging out on the back porch. Frodo (the miniature schnauzer) and Hartigan (our chocolate lab) took turn poking their heads through the fence on the porch.
