Life :: Jr. Miss Alberta Job's Daughters

Tori, nicknamed Bumblebee for her love for all things yellow and black, is the current Junior Miss Alberta Job's Daughters. She has spent the last twelve months serving as a representative of Job's Daughters for the province of Alberta, specifically its younger members.

Job's Daughters is a youth group for girls between the ages of 10-20 years old, who are related to Masons. (Think of the philanthropic group called Shriners. The men who are known for their Shriner's Circus and Shriner's Hospitals.) Tori competed in a Pageant last March to represent the organization.

Job's Daughters teaches its members many useful skills like public speaking and memorization. Each member has their own responsibilities. The members run their own meetings twice a month, and they are conducted in accordance with Robert's Rules of Order. Honestly I've seen these girls run their meetings better than some corporate meetings. :p

Congratulations to Tori on her year as Jr. Miss AB Job's Daughters!

In other related news, I am very excited to say that photos from my session with Miss British Columbia Job's Daughters Melissa Sadeh will be used for the upcoming 2011 Miss BCJD Pageant!
