Baby :: River
Even though I'm on holidays this weekend, I couldn't resist getting together with this precious little angel for a session. Little Miss River is so adorable. She's 11 months old and she already has teeth, is walking and is learning to speak! Her face has so many adorable expressions, I wish I could have posted them all here.... but since I couldn't, feel free to check out her facebook album by clicking here.

150 Facebook Fan Giveaway
I'll admit it, I've totally got a case of giveaway fever. It's rampant all over facebook, twitter and just the world wide web in general! Couple my love for giveaways with an idea to celebrate 150 fabulous facebook fans and it's time to jump on the bandwagon friends!
So, how do you win yourself a one hour session and disc with your photos? It's super easy. Step 1. "Like" the Wishing Star Gallery's facebook page (found here)
Step 2. Show us some love!! Change your facebook status, making sure you link to the facebook page! For example, make this your facebook status "Check out @wishingstargallery, at http://www.wishingstarphotography.blogspot.com/ and enter to win the 150 fan giveaway!" Make sure you place the "@" before wishingstargallery, as this will link to my page, then leave a comment on the facebook page telling me you did so. Bonus entry. Want a bonus entry? If you've already had a session with The Wishing Star Gallery, write a review from your session on the facebook page.
The winner will be announced when we reach 150 fans!

Baby :: Liam
Today I met a very sweet little man. Baby Liam is 8 months old and such a cutie! I left with the biggest baby crush ever! I had such a great time this afternoon at his session with him and his family. I couldn't wait to get home and upload his photos! You can see a few of them below and you can see his facebook album here.

Wedding :: Jennifer + Patrick
Sometimes couples prefer to have lots of friends with cameras throughout their big day, and only have a photographer for 1-2 hours. That's exactly what Jenn + Pat wanted for their medieval theme wedding and I was more than happy to oblige. Here are a few shots from their wedding yesterday.

Baby :: Colton
Just a quick snapshot from Colton's session this weekend. He is 4 months old this month but is much bigger than your average 4 month old. I can't imagine how big he will be by his 6 month session!

Maternity :: Megan + Darren humour Cheesy Chelsey
Okay so I'm not an overly cheesy person... well maybe sometimes, but generally not. This photo however, was an opportunity I couldn't pass up. Thank you to Darren and Megan for humouring me.
Maternity :: Megan + Darren
One of the running jokes in this city is about our crazy and always changing weather. Calgarians weren't surprised by this latest dump of snow to start off April 2011, but we were more than a little dissapointed. What I like about Calgary is that you can just go with the flow, no matter the weather. Originally Megan + Darren had been hoping for an outdoor maternity session to commemorate their pregnancy. Over 20 centimetres of snow in less than 20 hours sort of put a hamper on that plan....but this is why we as Calgarians are believers in back up plans! This was my first (primarily) indoor maternity session and I quite enjoyed it. Megan + Darren are a very fun and friendly couple and it was a pleasure to photograph them this morning!
You can tell how much I love this one, I slapped an address watermark on it to use it for the Wishing Star Gallery's facebook page.
You can see more photos from Megan + Darren's maternity session on the facebook page at www.facebook.com/wishingstargallery
Puppy Project
I wasn't going to post any photos about my adventure at Deerfoot Meadows Petland, but in the end I changed my mind. I wanted to thank the store and staff for letting me come in to photograph some of the pets for my photo project for school. As usual, the staff was very helpful and friendly. Overall even though I left smelling of puppy pee and drool it was a great experience. For those who don't know, my chocolate lab (Hartigan) is a Petland puppy, or should I say he was. He went to the pet store for rabbit food and we left three hours later with a puppy. He is more than just our dog, he's our furbaby and he's loved dearly.
