Greetings from Mexico | Diana + Keelon's Wedding

If you've liked the Wishing Star Gallery on facebook (and you really should, since it's more up to date than the blog. You can find it at facebook.com/wishingstargallery) then you would know that I spent the last week in the Mayan Riveria for Diana + Keelon's destination wedding. I'll do up a more formal blog post about the wedding, with way more photos later on, but for now I couldn't resist posting some shots for the big kiss!

Family | Nikkel

This weekend I had the honour of photographing the very talented, Mr. Edward Nikkel (of Punky Monkey Photography)and his wonderful family. Ed is an upcoming life photographer and I was so flattered when he and his wife Lori asked me to do some family shots for them. Despite some very chilly weather and some very sick kiddies we did manage to have some fun and get some good shots.

This summer I was asked to shoot a newborn session for Laura & Joey to celebrate the birth of their son Jackson. This weekend they came to my home studio for a 6 month session/Christmas photos and I couldn't get over how adorable Jackson is. I could still see that little newborn I had met earlier this year in this inquisitive little boy. Here are some of my favourites...

Birthday | Anita

The last week of October I was invited to Ramin's home to take some photos to celebrate his daughter Anita's birthday! The cake was so imaginative and tied into a theme I love... Disney. Sneak Peak | Tammy's Family

Between my internet provider (also known the big pain in my butt) and being out of town this past weekend, I am trying desperately to catch up on sneak peaks from the last weekend of October. My apologies to Tammy and my appreciation for her patience!

A lot of people don't have much patience for the fact that any photography I do is in addition to my full time job and life... But Tammy has been nothing but understanding with my work schedule and shotty internet service! These are a few of my favourite frames from her family session.







I did some portraits for the more cooperative family members too and took the chance to practice something I had learnt in class. The wall behind them was very plain so I added a little pizzaz to it!
