Family :: Amy & the Girls
After a short holiday from photo (one whole week free of sessions) I am happy to blog a post about my latest session! Although it was a little difficult due to one cute little girl's unhappy demeanor overall it was fun. And really, can you blame her? Some strange lady invaded her house, set up a background and stuck a camera in her face. The girls took turns being models with the background and they were SO cute!

Life :: Tyler
Tyler is such an adorable little boy. What I didn't know was that he's a super hero in disguise. His mom Kelly emailed me a little while back to set up a session. She recently moved into a new home in the south east and suggested Elgin Park/the gates of Elgin for her little fella's photo session. We had a lot of fun and I really enjoyed getting to know him!

Life :: Honoured Queen Kimberly
Kim is a member of Job's Daughters. Job's Daughters (or Jobies as it's commonly referred to by members) is a youth group for girls between the ages of 10-20 who are related to a Mason. (Think of the Shriners, who have the Shriner's circus. You know, the fellows in the funny red hats who ride the tiny bikes. Yeah! Those guys!) Jobies is a group for their younger family members to learn important skills such as public speaking, leadership and team work. The girls have specific offices with different duties, for example, Treasurer or Recorder. Kim recently spent 6 months serving in the elected position of Honoured Queen. It was her responsibility to not only plan events and fundraisers, but also to run their meetings as per Robert's Rules of Order. It takes a lot of time, dedication and effort to serve as Honoured Queen, and Kim did it all at the age of 16! (Most girls are usually a year or so older when they are elected by the other members to be HQ.)
I had a great time at Kim's HQ session tonight and love so many of these pictures!

Maternity :: Susan
This is just a quick post about Susan's maternity session this weekend. We're hoping to have three sessions in total within the next few weeks. One maternity, one birth (yes birth) and one newborn! Keep your fingers crossed that it all works out well for us and in the mean time, enjoy some of these photos.
Engagement :: Morgan + Brad
Meet Morgan + Brad. If you've visited the Wishing Star Gallery before, you may recognize this couple. I've been documenting Morgan's pregnancy for the last few months and I've really enjoyed getting to know them. I was so excited when Morgan told me that Brad had proposed and she was wanting to focus her next session (since we try to have one a month) on their engagement! So for this session we juggled engagement, family and maternity!
