A fellow amateur photographer is participating in a 365 photo competition, one picture each day. I wish I had the time for this, but I never seem to. The idea is to take one random picture a day, it doesn't necessarily have to be meaningful or particularly amazing even. You just have to put effort into it.
Tonight I came home from work and spent nearly 2 hours playing around with my camera, taking pictures of random items. One of my next projects will be to practice the set up of photos, especially when it comes to props. I seem to spend more time trying to find that set up in my head then working on a wide variety of ideas.
